Qualifications and experience

I studied counselling at Oxford University before going on to take a specialist post-graduate Diploma at Terapia in London. My counselling training allows me to work with adults, adolescents and children. In order to work with younger age groups, I have a focus on child development, emotional regulation and family dynamics in my training. I find this as relevant and valuable in my work with adults as with children. My training is ‘integrative’, which means I am trained and experienced in using methodology from other forms of therapy such as CBT or art therapy, alongside counselling. This allows me to work flexibly and adapt to your needs and your ways of expressing yourself.

I am an individual member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their high standards of professional conduct. I am fully insured and have a current enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check which allows me to work with children and vulnerable adults.

Prior to training in counselling and psychotherapy, I had a career in HR and coaching, working in a variety of large businesses and charities in London, including several years as a senior careers coach at University College London. I hold an undergraduate degree and a masters degree from Durham University in Philosophy
